The GIB® exams involve at least two so-called “mock exams” in each subject during the school year. The GIB® exams are always multi-stage. In 12th grade, the GIB® exams are set by the IBO and are administered according to a specific exam pattern, usually consisting of two to three parts. Essentially, the students have to submit a variety of different exams, as well as independent work. This means that they are required to meet deadlines for the submission of internal and external assessments. These are additional certificates of achievement or independent, semi-scientific work that must be handed in.
