The person of a teacher is their most effective curriculum.

The opportunity of working as a teacher at an international German school abroad inspired us to send our applications to various schools worldwide. Along with some other offers, the Orient piqued our interest most as we have not been too familiar with it yet. After a visit to the German International School Doha at the end of February 2016, we clearly knew which place to decide for.
- Since August 2016, delegated teacher in Doha, together with my wife Maike Dorn
- qualified teacher for the subjects Mathematics, Geography, and Political Science
- Prior to that, 6 years at the Bildungszentrum in Alpirsbach, Northern Black Forrest (Baden-Württemberg)
In order to promote “school as a place to live“, teachers also have to devote time to it outside teaching hours. Therefore and also due to climatic conditions, I do unfortunately have to miss out on my hobbies like skiing and motorbike tours with my wife at the moment. But swimming, reading and, last but not least, shopping are also agreeable pastime activities.
