Which books must be returned?

All textbooks starting in 2nd grade are the property of the school and must be returned to the school at the end of the school year. They are to be treated with care (hence the protective cover and no writing allowed inside).
All workbooks in elementary school (in Mathematics and German) are one-time use and the students may write in them.
