On 16. February it was colorful and cheerful in the Main Hall of the DIS Doha: Our primary school students celebrated an exuberant carnival party in the 6th and 7th hour, in the beautiful tradition of the German carnival.
The program started with a joint polonaise, as is familiar from many regions of Germany. The pupils then presented their imaginative costumes on the red carpet. A jury judged the costumes and in between there was dancing, laughing and celebrating.
At the end, there were awards for the best costumes and, of course, carnival doughnuts, which are a must at any German carnival celebration. A cheerful afternoon full of color, music and living tradition!
