In many regions of Germany, there are different names for the traditional Easter egg competitions, but they all follow a simple principle: an Easter egg must be transported as far or as fast as possible from point A to point B without breaking.
The DIS-Doha has taken up this custom for the second time and organized the popular Easter egg rolling competition.
Instead of rolling real eggs down a hill, we used an innovative method: a long, slanted tube and sturdy plastic eggs.
Children from classes one to ten competed in this fun contest. The audience made up of students and teachers enjoyed watching a variety of rolling techniques – some of them surprisingly innovative and effective.
The egg race that followed added speed and ambition to the game. Fortunately, the eggs were made of plastic, which made for carefree fun.
The entire competition was run by the student council with great dedication, who knew how to keep the suspense going until the very end.
