“The power of artificial intelligence is so incredible that it will profoundly change society.” – Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft
In the last weeks, we had the pleasure of welcoming Prof. Wendorff from the Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences as a guest lecturer at our school. During his stay, he guided members of our school community through various aspects of artificial intelligence (AI) and its growing importance in education. In his informative lectures, he highlighted the basic concepts of AI and its possible applications. Particularly interesting were his explanations of the difference between weak and strong AI, as well as his explanations of machine learning and neural networks. Using concrete examples, he showed how AI is already being used in various areas of everyday life – from navigation systems and voice assistants to personalized learning programs.
A special highlight was the workshop for our teaching staff on August 27, 2025. Here, teachers gained valuable insights into didactic concepts for the meaningful integration of AI in the classroom. On September 2, 2025, our students in the classes 9 to 12 benefited from a special training session in which they learned, among other things, how to use AI-supported research tools responsibly and how to critically evaluate AI-generated content.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to Prof. Wendorff for his visit and the valuable impulses he provided for our school’s development in the field of digital education. The positive feedback from all participants encourages us in our desire to further expand our cooperation with Prof. Wendorff and the Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences in the future. We look forward to upcoming joint projects!
