On November 29, the German International School of Doha transformed its school grounds into a lively meeting place for families, students, and guests for its Winter Market. Each class participated by setting up their own stall to sell homemade winter decorations, creative handicrafts, and food. Games, music, and a wide range of culinary delights complemented the program, creating a festive atmosphere.
The Winter Market was all about solidarity. A total of QAR 13,076.25 was raised and donated equally to the Qatar Diabetes Association, the Qatar Animal Welfare Society, and a project by the student council to plant trees in the schoolyard. The entire amount was donated equally to the Qatar Diabetes Association, the Qatar Animal Welfare Society, and a project by the student council to plant trees in the schoolyard.
Class 11 deserves special recognition for raising QAR 1,911 through a fundraising run for the breast cancer charity. Additionally, the school initiative Helping Hands raised a further QAR 2,337 through the donation box.
Many thanks to the dedicated parents’ representatives, especially Ms. Di Giorgio and Ms. Sterr, for their excellent organization and support. Thanks also to the school management, administration, staff, and teachers who contributed to the event’s success with their commitment and support.
