World Children’s Day at Our Primary School

During our Sunday “Hello Week,” the theme of “compassion” took center stage as the value of the month. This was also part of our celebration of World Children’s Day, which focused on our children and the things that matter to them.

In connection with this, Class 3 performed an impressive play titled “Compassion Starts with Me” for the entire primary school. A paper heart illustrated just how much kind and unkind words can influence our feelings. The children made it clear that compassion begins with ourselves: Those who pay attention to their own feelings can also better understand the feelings of others, help them, and treat one another with respect. This motto will guide us not only today but throughout the entire coming month.

In addition, our new “Wishing Tree” was unveiled in the Main Hall. All children can write or draw their wishes and ideas for improving our school on tree leaves. Already last school year, we were able to take many of these wishes on board and put them into practice. It’s important to us that the children learn that their voices matter and that they can actively help shape our school. In this way, World Children’s Day becomes a beautiful reminder of what school should be every day: a place where children feel safe, heard, and valued.
