Vocational orientation for our students is a high priority at DIS Doha.
On Wednesday, January 14, 2026, the 10th grade had the opportunity to visit the plant of DHL Express Doha, one of the world’s leading logistics companies, as part of their career orientation. Following a safety briefing, the students were given an interesting tour of the plant and were able to see how parcels are sorted in Doha and shipped internationally. They were also given an insight into modern working conditions and employee benefits, such as the company’s own gym.
The students then took part in a workshop on personal branding, which was conducted by Henry Fares, Country Manager DHL Qatar. They were given valuable tips on personal positioning and practical advice for upcoming job interviews, particularly with regard to upcoming internships and their future careers.
The visit was rounded off with small gifts for the class and a delicious buffet.
We would like to thank DHL Express Doha for the kind invitation and the exciting insights, as well as the German Embassy and the AHK Qatar for arranging and organizing the visit.
The students were accompanied by Frau Theil and Herr Sauer.
