The five musicians Christoph Schmitz, Patrizia Portz, Sevine Abi Aad, Joris Laenen and Ferdinand Schäfer, all members of the ensemble EMOCIÓN performed at the DIS Doha for pupils from grade 1 to 5 “Ükelchens Reise”. Ükelchen is a musician, he finds a magic lamp, unleashes a virtual body that speaks to the children and guides them through the different cultures and languages. In a fantastic performance, the musicians have brought the cultural identity, the diversity of languages and also a high degree of humanity closer to the students. All of the students enjoyed “Ükelchens Reise”. We thank the musicians very much for this initiative at the DIS Doha and for the opportunity to set another accent in music education.
