In October 2024, our Class 11 and 12 students in the GIB program went on an unforgettable CAS trip to Prague. Set against the unique and slightly mystical atmosphere of the autumn city, the trip offered a varied program focusing on creativity, activity, and reflection – core aspects of the IB Learner Profile.
The students took part in workshops and activities such as a street dance workshop that encouraged courage and openness, graffiti and glassblowing workshops that inspired creative expression, and a homeless walking tour where they prepared meals for the homeless and learned more about their lives. Questioning perspectives and developing empathy were key goals of these experiences.
Our students consistently showed teamwork and a willingness to take on challenges. They grew closer as a group and gained new personal insights.
The city of Prague will remain in our memory for its beauty and cultural diversity, but most of all, it will be remembered as the beginning of the IB journey of class 11 and for class 12, as a farewell trip from school life.
