At the invitation of the German Embassy in Qatar, the Pop Choir of the German International School performed at the celebration of the Day of German Unity. Together with Bassicelli, an ensemble of the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra, our students sang the national anthems of Germany, Qatar and the European Union. The choir then presented an ABBA medley, which was very well received by the guests.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to the German Embassy and Ms. Vaessen for inviting us to this special event. We would also like to thank Herr Reichel, Frau Bach and Herr Szabo for their preparation, as well as Bassicelli for the successful cooperation.
The event provided a wonderful opportunity to showcase our school’s musical abilities and sense of community in a special setting.
