Recently, an exciting basketball workshop took place at our school in cooperation with NBA Qatar. Sven Wehrmeyer, Technical Director of the new NBA School Qatar, led the training and gave our students insights into advanced playing techniques, ball control, and tactical basics. Targeted drills promoted coordination, reaction speed and team play.
The participants were enthusiastic and enjoyed learning the new tricks. They particularly appreciated the practical exercises, the team motivation, and the opportunity to receive direct tips from an international expert. Interactive exercises allowed each child to receive individual feedback and noticeably improve their ball skills.
The experiences of this day should help to establish regular training and motivate students to engage in sports in the long term.
