Information for all students, parents and teachers
Dear School Community,
I would first like to thank you again for the good cooperation. I am currently in intensive talks with the school parents’ representatives (Ms. Claudia Kaiser and Ms. Tania Fecht) and am grateful for many interesting ideas.
Students ABC / Information brochure
Under the direction of Martin Scholz the students of grade 9 arranged with big effort an information booklet for students. These information brochures contain all the information about the traditions in Qatar as well as the life at the German International School Doha. It will soon be translated to English. You can find this information brochure also as download on our website and on > issu.com
Parking Situation
In reference to our parent’s representatives, we kindly ask you not to park your vehicles on the crosswalk area. For safety reasons this is not permitted. We ask all the car drivers not to park there so we will not endanger the children.
We also ask you to use the opened parking places during the pickup and drop off, as the covered parking is assigned for the school staff (long stay).
School materials
Our teachers under direction of Katrin Faske, will create a school material list so you will know which folders, filler cartridge, triangle ruler…etc. you have to get for next school year. Part of this materials is also available at the student’s project “Snaggies”.
School photographer
The parent’s council pointed out that this year we will not have a school photographer. Of course, every class can organize a photographer when required. I ask the parents representatives to organize this individually.

Separation of Paper Waste
On the initiative of class 2b of paper waste is now collected separately at school. The class 2b led by Silke Beck and Anastasia Hauser took care of the problematic waste separation. This proposal has now been put into practice: “We go green” – The green box for recyclables paper. Thanks to students of class 2b.

Deep cleansing
On last Saturday, 30/04/2016 an Intensive cleaning with disinfection of the premises was held. This is to protect against the spread of infection.
Open dates
With a “Cake-Cutting Ceremony” on 28.05.2016 we will celebrate the IB start with the ambassador Hans Udo Muzel. Of course, we will invite an official representative of the Emirates Qatar. We will start in the main hall at 12.30 pm. All the parents and students are cordially invited.
On 30.05.2016 the Primary School – Festival of Tones and Talents will take place on the early afternoon. To this events you are also invited. You will receive an invitation.
On 31.05.2016 a Dance Theater will be held, on the same day we will have the fare-well of the students of grade 10. Therefore you will receive also a separate invitation.
