»On the way to a Full-Day-Encounter school«

Dear School Community,

Today I am writing to you to inform you about the new school year. We take you on a journey into the world of all-day encounter school. The school develops with this concept conceptual and opens for your children the opportunity to be encouraged and promoted even more intensively in order to be perfectly prepared for their future career. I ask you to allow the following all-day school concept to work on you. The daily schedule will continue to develop in school and in kindergarten, it is the two-hour principle introduced, the subjects “learn to learn“and “Science” will be implemented already in elementary school. Furthermore, parents have a choice in selecting the second foreign language from grade 5 in the next school year. Classes end for all (kindergarten, primary school and secondary school) at the same time, at 14.35. We are busy preparing an extra-curricular and demand-oriented afternoon program. This takes time. Already since last week we posted information on the homepage www.ds-doha.de and on Facebook. For questions, please contact the school office.
> Presentation of the new school concept

Current score IB Diploma
These plans have contributed moreover to the fact that we can be very confident to be an IB school in the new school year. The final decision we will get from the IBO before the Easter holidays. We are curious.

Federal Youth Games
In all probability, the postponed sports event will take place on February 25th, in Aspire. For this purpose, the buses will be organized by the school. The children will return to school at 12.30 clock.
Please think about that day on sports clothes, enough drinking water – perhaps a healthy snack (banana), clothes to change, towel, sunscreen and hat

Afternoon activities in the coming school year
Again I would like to ask 3 dedicated parents to help to establish an advisory panel which will develop an afternoon program for the new school year. The previous concept will be further developed. Are interested please register until 02.08.2016 at the secretariat.

Yours
