The kindergarten is located on the ground floor of the German International School Doha.
Our facilities provide the kindergarten groups with space to learn, play, move around and romp about. The separation into two parts makes a walk through our kindergarten a great experience. The corridors are decorated with our children’s art works and each group room is individually designed for children.
Each group room is divided into various areas to stimulate learning, such as a construction area, a crafts area and a relaxation area. Thus the individual needs of children can be taken into account in the best possible way.
A separate room is available for the individual support of children in the last year of kindergarten. It is furnished similarly to a school classroom without any source of distraction. It serves to prepare children for the daily routine of a school day.
There are also separate rooms for “German as a foreign language” and other foreign language instruction. Here, the specialists can work undisturbed with smaller groups if necessary.
Our beloved pirate ship serves to provide for a physical balance. The activity room is equipped with a ball pool and a climbing wall and has a second level in the form of a pirate ship. Thus it creates a landscape for movement in which the children can play to their heart’s content.
We also use the Main Hall at the centre of the school building for numerous educational events.
Once a week, the school’s sports hall with its wide variety of equipment is available to each group for various motor skill exercises.
In the cooler months, we also use the outdoor area with two differently equipped playgrounds, a large hill with an adjacent grassy area and a football field. Here the children can use self-powered toys such as tricycles, bicycles, etc., and have all the experiences of outdoor play, including the water and the mud. For siestas we provide a separate bedroom.
