FAQ DaF

Daily Routine

In designing the daily routine, we take children’s need for orientation and reliability into account.

Group-related activities and across-group games in leisure time for the children are given equal consideration when designing the daily routine.

Children’s play takes place in different game areas and social forms, with appropriate playing and working materials, alternating from free play and guided pedagogical activities as well as phases of concentration and recreation. Activities are geared towards a specific topic and are designed to support children in every area and to help them develop their skills.

The daily routine in the kindergarten is designed in such a way that it provides sufficient time and space for educational activities both in the morning and in the afternoon and takes the biological rhythm of the children into account. Working in age-mixed groups offers children additional motivation to learn from each other and with each other.

The so-called concentration and recovery phases, i.e., the alternation between rest and movement, concentration and relaxation, noise and silence, create a structure of the daily routine in the kindergarten. This recurring everyday structure is a reliable guideline for the children and provides them with a sense of safety and security, and orientation, while at the same time, promotes their independence.

In addition to the group events, an integrated support for German as a Foreign Language (DaF) and English are essential components of the day-to-day activities. These offers either take place in the group and / or in smaller groups or as individual work.

Once a week, a sports class of approximately 60 minutes takes place for each group in the sports hall.
