From 20 to 25 March 2019, our nominated students will travel to Prague too! We’ll keep our fingers crossed!
“Jugend musiziert” is the most renowned music promotion project in Germany. The concept was launched in 1963 to provide up-and-coming musicians in the major cultural orchestras. Today, the three-level competition (regional, state and federal level) reaches more than 20,000 participants every year, making it one of the largest and most successful international competitions.
The 23rd National Competition “Jugend musiziert” will take place from 20 to 25 March 2019 in Prague. Young musicians from 15 European countries take part in this music competition. They come from Czech schools with extended German lessons, the German School Prague and other German schools abroad from 14 European countries as well as from Qatar.
As part of the competition, two major concerts will be held. The opening concert of the host country will take place on 20 March in the Aspira Business Center and the final concert of the winners will take place on 24 March in the Žofin Palace.
