Eid Mubarak – Appeal for donations
“Action Germany helps“ – For Refugees
On September 23 the Eid Al Adha holiday start at our school. In the Arab countries it is tradition to help the weaker members of our society at this occasion. We think it is a responsibility of all to contribute to help the people who have few or no prospects for the future. Every little bit helps these people, these families and these children to get opportunities for the future. For this reason I propose that the school community forwards all donations of “Action Germany helps – For refugees”. “Action Germany helps” is an alliance of many German aid agencies and is under the patronage of former president Horst Köhler and the Acting Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
Up to the Eid Al Adha holiday we will deposit envelopes in the classes. If you would like to donate, put the money in an envelope and send this with your child. We also place a donation box at the front desk.
On behalf of all the needy, I thank you in advance. At the end of the action I make – if possible before the holidays – together with the class representatives a picture which shows which sum the school community donated.
