The school is located in Doha, the capital of Qatar, and offers kindergarten, primary and lower secondary education, as well as a Mixed Language International Baccalaureate® (GIB). Our all-day school is divided into Kindergarten, Primary, Secondary I and Secondary II. Special emphasis is placed on the encounter of cultures, the multilingualism of the students and their individual support. Apart from the IB subjects Mathematics, Chemistry, CAS, ToK and English lessons are taught in German and from Years 1 to 10 according to the quota of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of the Free State of Thuringia.

Responsibilities:

• Teach English to students in the IB program (DP)
• Develop and implement a lesson plan in accordance with IB guidelines
• Foster critical thinking and language skills in students
• Participation in conferences and school activities
• Conducting parent teacher meetings
• Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve teaching practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent, in English Language and Literature, Diploma in Secondary Education
• minimum 2 years of teaching experience
• very good knowledge of the English language, spoken and written
• teaching certification and experience in the IB program
• excellent communication and organizational skills
• knowledge of German is an advantage
• ability to work in a multicultural environment
• sense of responsibility, ability to cope with stress
• very good IT knowledge required
• experience in conducting digital teaching sessions
• motivation for further training

Start date of contract: 23.08.2025
