From June 6 to 9, 2018, the World Congress of German Schools Abroad took place in Berlin. After Mexico City, Cape Town, Shanghai and Berlin, the Federal Foreign Office, the World Association of German Schools abroad (WDA) and the Central Agency for German Schools Abroad (ZfA) organized the top meeting of German Schools abroad for the second time in Germany.
As part of the meeting, our principal Dirk Dillschneider visited the John F. Kennedy School in Berlin together with the principals of the region “Turkey and the Middle East”. Steffen Schulz, principal of the school, led through the school (1700 pupils) and informed the participants about the concept and multilingualism of the high school. Many thanks to Mr. Birger Reese of the ZfA, who organized this excursion.

Additionally in the framework of the World Congress Principal Dirk Dillschneider together with Birger Reese (ZfA) explained the results of the regional network conference “Turkey and the Middle East” in February. Especially the topic “conditions of success and stumbling blocks for school development at German schools abroad” found great interest.
