In the framework of the Qatar German Year of Culture 2017 the German poetry slammers Dominique Marci and Julian Heun visited the school and inspired the pupils of the classes 7 to 11. Slammers perform self-written texts on stage in a certain time. In poetry competitions of this kind, the audience is chosen according to the presentation a winner. The German-speaking slam scene is considered the second-largest in the world after the English-speaking.
