On May 12, 2024, former Federal Minister Julia Klöckner, MdB, visited the German International School in Doha. A group of students, administrative staff, board members, teachers and school management had an interesting exchange about the differences between the German domestic education system and German schools abroad, about the motivation to study and work abroad, especially in Qatar, and about life in Doha.
Even though there is a lot of controversy in politics and schools, agreement was quickly reached in this circle: Qatar has a welcoming culture that makes it easy to feel at home here and the German school is a place that is in no way lagging behind.
