On Wednesday, 11th November 2010, the Kindergarten and the German School Doha celebrated the St. Martin`s Day together.
We were very pleased about the numerous visitors. The event started with the sale of traditional pastry and drinks at 04:30pm. At this point we would like to thank the parents` association for their great preparation and support.
The actual lantern procession started at around 05:00 pm together with the school. All kindergarten children proudly carried their self-made lanterns, which illuminated the streets. All the children were so enthusiastic that we walked the streets around the kindergarten and school twice. Afterwards, the kindergarten children sang several songs and performed the story about St. Martin. After the successful presentation, St. Martin`s Day came to an end.
We hope that all visitors, particularly the children, had fun.
We are looking forward to further events and parties which we can celebrate with the children together.
