On Friday, September 29, 2023, the German International School held the student representative election, which was organized in advance by the class 11 and 12 students as part of their CAS course.
The students paid particular attention to ensuring that the general principles of electoral law – general, direct, free, equal and secret – enshrined in the Fundamental Election Rights of the Federal Republic of Germany were observed. Election observers were deployed to ensure compliance with the principles of electoral law. You can learn more about the election rights principles here.
This year there were two candidates who ran for election together with their teams. A short round of introductions was followed by a question and answer session in which candidates Omar and Daniel along with their teams had to answer the students’ questions in the shortest possible time. The students of the classes 4 to 12 then cast their votes.
We are pleased to congratulate our new student representative Daniel and his team on their election victory. We wish them all the best for the school year 2023/24.
