On the 14th of January, the first round of the music contest ”Jugend musiziert“ took place in our school for the very first time.
During this amazing competition, the participants showed their abilities in the following categories: classical vocal ensemble and Pop vocals and instruments.
After performing in front of the jury and the audience, delighting them both, it was not surprising that four groups came in first place and three of them made it to the next round (more than 23 pts.), which will take place from the 20th till the 25th of March 2019 in the German school in Prague.
We wish the participants who succeeded the best of luck, and would like to take the opportunity to thank the jury:
Alena Pyne (head of Qatar Youth Choir), Tobias Gette (Qatar Symphony Orchester), Mr. Langanka (primary school teacher) and Mr. Reichel (music teacher).
”Jugend musiziert“ is the most renowned music promotion project in Germany. Nearly one million children and adolescents have participated in ”Jugend musiziert“ in the 55 years of its existence. For many of them, this was the first step in a successful music career.
