Year 7 took part in the Pangea maths competition in February 2024. The tasks focus on puzzling and pondering as well as having fun with logic and arithmetic. It is very difficult to score many points. If you achieve a third of the points, you have already mastered 3 out of 5 areas of difficulty, so that you can already speak of a good result.
One pupil’s result deserves special mention: Anas achieved 54 out of 66 points, the highest score I have ever seen in my many years as a maths teacher and participant in Pangea. Congratulations, Anas! He will now take part in the intermediate round on 24/25 April, for which I wish him every success.
But there were also other good results. Lucia took 2nd place with 28 points and Karam 3rd place with 24 points. Congratulations!
