FAQ DaF

Our Mission Statement

We understand our task as giving much time and attention to the various lifeworlds, needs and wishes of the children in an open and flexible manner. We put the personality of every child at the centre of our pedagogic work.

It is particularly important for us to create and nurture an atmosphere of trust for the children.

The kindergarten supports the education of the child. We want to promote each child’s development holistically and in an appropriate manner for each age group. Each child is entitled to receiving individual and the best possible support.

We see our institution as a place of security, of experiencing and of learning. A well-structured daily routine, our weekly rhythm and the cycle of the year serve not only as a framework for giving children orientation but also for conveying security, reliability and stability. At the same time, this framework also serves as a means for setting limits.

The first years of life are decisive for the further course of a child’s development. Basic and important pre-conditions for future life are created through education and processes of exchange with the environment. For us, our main task lies in strengthening the competences of children, so that they can grow up becoming self-motivated, independent and socially skilled personalities.

We value children as evolving personalities and appreciate each of them with all their questions, utterances, interests, feelings, strengths and areas of development. We accompany, support, motivate and observe the children with great attention.

Another important aspect that goes hand in hand with the personal development of each child is its social competence. This includes fostering of being together on a daily basis, co-operation and communication among children on the one hand, and mutual consideration, tolerance and co-operation on the other hand. Group dynamics strengthen each individual, exclusion is avoided. Children in our kindergarten learn to see themselves as being a part of a group in which they can feel comfortable. Thus, they learn to perceive the needs of others.

Joint activities such as playing together, crafting, building, inventing, telling stories, experimenting, singing, celebrating parties, making trips and laughing together are the best way for children to discover and conquer the world, in short: to learn.

A lot of the things that children learn at our kindergarten cannot be carried home to show their parents. Nevertheless, the children have learned and experienced a lot – qualities that make them strong for life.
