Kindergarten Newsletter

24. November 2017 von Deutsche Internationale Schule

From the yellow, blue, green, red, purple, and the orange group
Below is a brief of what we did for the past 3 months

Thank you for your confidence in us!

Dear parents,
It has been three months since the kindergarten’s 2017/2018 academic year has started, we started with fifty new children and we have now 108 children in our Kindergarten. The past three months were full of excitement, happiness and energy and we are sure that it will continue until the end of this academic year.

At the beginning we had children who were insecure, curious and some were delighted to be at the kindergarten. Now that the integration stage is over, we have built a stable relationship with the children, showing them that is an environment full of joy, security, and most important educational.

We have a unique environment that blends different cultures and in this way we teach each child how to adapt into life smoothly. Our children are now open minded to exploring, expressing and playing.
The topics we covered in the last three months were: senses, body parts, emotions, autumn, family members and residential situations.

Also an unforgettable joyful experience for the children was our pumpkin celebration, where the children of each group got to carve a pumpkin for Halloween. Moreover, we started preparing for the upcoming lantern celebration by discussing, singing, and reading to them stories related to the celebration. We were also busy crafting our lanterns and rehearsing for the big performance in November.

Upcoming events:

  • In December, we will talk with the children about the winter traditions in Germany. On every Sunday, all groups will meet in the main hall and sing together.
  • The “Winter Bazar” will take place on the 2nd of December, 2017 from 2pm until 5pm
  • “Nikolaus” will visit us in Kindergarten and we will build gingerbread houses with parents and grandparents.

The Kindergarten will reopen after the winter break on 7th of January, 2018.
We wish you Happy Holidays.
Senay Gün

Personnel changes
I would like to inform you about a personnel change in the Blue Group. Our assistant Renata Lukas will leave us at the end of December. Andrea Boxler will support now Susanne Manglitz in her daily work. We wish Renata all the best for the future and her descendant.

Starting from January we welcome our new assistant, Linda Kamenarov who will support Barbara Wohnhaas in the purple group.
