The first day’s program consisted of arriving and a pleasant flight. We then visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque for a photo shoot and took a bus tour of the city past the Corniche and the Emirates Palace. After a reception at the German International School Abu Dhabi, we were able to visit the school and eat with the guest students. In the evening, we visited a mall and went to bed on time, as we were leaving for the mangroves outside the city at 7 a.m. in the morning.
