Project days of class 9 with class teacher Julia Karnebogen
The first day was under the motto ”Fit and healthy through school life“. Together with class 10 we went to cross-fit training. On the second day, a visit to the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) was on the plan. Following a ”Treasure Hunt“ and a subsequent tour through the permanent exhibition, the students were allowed to admire and touch objects in the library.
In the afternoon, the pupils visited a workshop and designed their own geometric patterns, which are common in Islamic art. On the third and last day the class went to the exhibition ”Driven by German Design“ and the students could marvel and explore. A dhow trip with a research sketching task was the grand finale of these exciting and educational project days.
