The Gymnasts World Champion Team from Germany visits the German International School in Doha
This Sunday October 28th, 2018, the team of German top gymnasts, who are participating here in Qatar at the World Gymnastics Championship visited us at school!
We are pleased to welcome the entire team to the school and would like to thank the German Embassy in Qatar for their support.
In the presence of the German ambassador to Qatar Mr. Hans-Udo Muzel, who wished the gymnasts good luck at the World Championships, all students of grades 4 to 12 were able to get to know the top athletes in a meet and greet. At the beginning two grade 5 students, Jana Heinemann and Manar Hassabou, performed their best gymnastic exercises, followed by a question-answer round with students. That way the students of DIS Doha had a little insight into the life of a top athlete:
A lot of training, a lot of discipline and the strong will to win.
Our Guests were:
Head of the Delegation Sven Karg with the gymnasts Marcel Nguyen, Andreas Toba, Nick Klessing, Lukas Dauser, Philipp Herder, Nils Dunkel, Kim Bui, Leah Grießer, Sophie Scheder, Elisabeth Seitz, Sarah Voss, Carina Kröll, as well as Female Head Coach Ulla Koch and Male Head Coach Andreas Hirsch.
