On September 18, the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra performed the musical fairy tale “Peter and the Wolf”, composed by the Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev, at our school.
With a very entertaining narration Christoph Schmitz alias Kiko guided the students and kindergarten children through the musical fairy tale.
The children had the opportunity to experience the orchestra up close and were fascinated by the variety of sounds presented by the orchestra under the direction of conductor Giovanni Passini. Some children even had the opportunity to briefly conduct the orchestra.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the musicians of the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra and all those who made this wonderful event possible at our school.
