Music Making in Class with Ukuleles

26. January 2023 von Tamás Prágay-Szabó

It doesn’t always have to be Orff instruments or the recorder … the ukulele is an excellent melody and accompaniment instrument for children in primary and secondary school.
The students of class 7 had set the goal in music class to be able to accompany the song “I’m yours” by Jason Mraz at the end of the ukulele workshop.

This target was easily achieved with a lot of diligence and joy.

André Reichel

“I was happy when Mr. Reichel pulled the ukuleles out of the cabinet and said we are going to learn to play on this little guitar.”
Elisabeth

“I was motivated to learn ukulele from the very beginning. For this reason, it was not so difficult to overcome the initial difficulties. I have borrowed the ukulele until now because I enjoy it very much.”
Lamar

“I would never have thought that I would play a song after the workshop. I enjoyed it immensely, so much so that I also bought my own ukulele.”
Nizar

“At first I found it quite difficult, especially the strumming pattern, because I kept hurting my finger. But after a few lessons, it became very easy and I enjoyed it a lot.”
Hamza
