The German International School in Doha started the new school year 2022/23 not only with extensive organizational preparations and opened a near normal all-day school after the pandemic years with a cafeteria and hot lunch, but also with a top-level internal training program – thanks to Rosalie Heinen from the University of Münster.
The effective interlocking of German-language subject teaching and teaching “German as a foreign language” poses special challenges for every German School Abroad. The moderator succeeded in reflecting on measures already in place at the school and in motivating new, further innovations. The approach of applying visualization offered all participants an entertaining, challenging and joyful discussion.
Yes, we had fun and put what we learned into practice immediately. It couldn’t have been better.
