On June 8th, a (surprise) farewell was held in the main hall for our esteemed colleague and teacher, Frau Wagner. After about 35 years as a teacher, Frau Wagner will be going into her well-deserved retirement this year.
On this special day, Frau Wagner was honored with a heartfelt speech by Frau Guthmann. The PopChoir of our school sang a version of the Abba hit “Thank you for the Music” (“Dankeschön Frau Wagner”), which was re-penned especially for Frau Wagner. Afterwards, all students who were taught by her this year presented her with a rose as a token of their appreciation.
Later, parents and staff had the opportunity to say goodbye to Frau Wagner in person over coffee and cake. It was an opportunity to once again share common memories and thank her for her outstanding work.
We wish our dear Frau Wagner all the very best for her future and hope that she will grace us with a surprise visit to our school every now and then!
