In the project week at the end of October 2017, classes 7 and 8 were trained in a joint workshop on “Conflict Pilots”. With much joy and dedication, the students practiced communication and learning individual methods for solving problems. At the end of the apprenticeship the voluntary application for an active participation as a conflict counselor at our school took place. 19 of the 26 students applied for one year’s work. The students joined self-selected teams and now work as supporters and helpers at least once a week in the second major break for grades 1 to 6.<\/p>\n
What skills should conflict pilots have?<\/strong> Together, the pupils continue to practice and deepen their acquired knowledge with supervision of mediators Marita Clasen and Julia Lie\u00dfneck.<\/p>\n Conflict pilots are always on the playground to help other students or to accompany them into the conflict pilot room. Many of the younger children are now very happy to come to the conflict room to get support.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
\nConflict pilots listen well, are attentive, mindful and learn to be impartial. They are knowledgeable about the rules of dispute resolution. They encourage those who are in dispute to openly speak and encourage them to resolve their own conflict.<\/p>\n
