In Germany, on November 11, it is a tradition in some regions to eat the so-called “Weckmännchen”. It looks pretty, doesn’t it? And is it’s tasty too! It is baked from sweet dough in the shape of a gingerbread man with raisin eyes and a white clay pipe. The Weckmännchen can be bought in most German bakeries in places where St. Martin’s Day is celebrated, or you can bake it yourself at home.
Of course, there are lantern parades everywhere in Germany on 11.11. and at DIS Doha this has also been a special day for many years that the children look forward to!
